Dear Friends, Supporters and Constituents of the 27th Ward Democratic Organization,
It is a pleasure to greet you on the occasion of our 24th Annual Paula J. Carter Wine and Roses Ball.
For the past 24 years, the 27th Ward has diligently worked to represent the needs of our community. With the proceeds from each Wine and Roses event, we have been able to assist constituents during tragic and trying times. We have also been able to support and participate in various programs and activities in our community.
Our ability to serve the community comes from your gracious and generous support. However, we must always acknowledge the woman who had the vision and gave birth to this wonderful event, the late Senator Paula J. Carter.
We the 27th Ward want you to know, that the legacy she left continues. So while we are glad you are here for the 24th Annual Event, please mark your calendars for our spectacular 25th Anniversary Celebration in February 2010.
